Savage Things – Graphic Spotlight

'Savage Things' Pulls Off A Brutal Trick You Won't Want To Be Fooled By!

Savage Things Vertigo DC Comics

Awareness is everything in the business of comics. And unfortunately, awareness can be tough to come by if you don’t have a symbol on your chest, a signal in the sky, or a movie at your local cinema. So, how can you hear about the great books out there that might be outside your normal purview? Why, that’s what I’m here for. And case in point is Savage Things which makes it’s splash in trade paperback format this New Release Day!

Twenty-five years ago, a secret government organization kidnapped children and trained them to be agents of chaos, designed to foment unrest and execute enemies of the state around the world. When these cold and unfeeling creations proved too difficult to control, the powers that be exterminated their kill squad with extreme prejudice. The flaw in their fatal plan? Apparently, the kill squad is back to killing again. Can’t get any good help these days, am I right?

Now a rogue band of the worst monsters the world has ever known is cutting a swath of terror across the United States, threatening not just to disrupt the peace but to expose secrets their handlers never wanted to come to light. The only way to stop them is to call back the only man who ever walked away from them. His code name is Abel, and he’s not afraid of getting his hands bloody.

What do you need to pick up a great new read? Character-driven? Check! Badass artwork? Check! (And to learn more, see our interview with artist Ibrahim Moustafa to see how this crazy crime epic came to be) Complete in one collection? Check! Enough grit to make your teeth grate? Check! There’s little that Savage Things doesn’t offer. And you don’t need to take my word for it, find out for yourself. Because one of the best reads of 2017 is daring you to pick it up.

Collects SAVAGE THINGS #1-8.
