Val’s Toy Chest- New and Incoming Toys

As we move closer to the end of January, there are some incoming toys that you should know about. There are quite a few coming from Sideshow including a couple of Hot Toys as well as Big Chief, plus the usual Funko and Hasbro items, possibly even some Mattel.

On the way soon:

Rocket RaccoonGuardians of the Galaxy‘s resident marksman and trickster should be arriving soon in both regular and deluxe versions. The regular version will include Rocket in a detailed outfit, interchangeable hands and feet, a figure stand, a Baby Groot mini figure, pistols and a character stand, while the deluxe will add an additional head sculpt as well as a machine gun and extra hands for use with the machine gun.

James Bond– Big Chief has a few 1:6 action figures coming in, including Sean Connery’s Bond and the villainous Odd Job. James Bond has had a dearth of collectibles in recent years, but with this license and the recently arrived  Funko POPs, Bond fans have a few things to look forward to.

Star Wars– Wave 2 of the 40th Anniversary figures from Hasbro are finally coming in.  To refresh your memory- C-3PO, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper, Death Squad Commander, Jawa and the Tusken Raider make up this wave. Supplies will be limited so grab these when you see them if you want em. The next Star Wars Specialty Series POP from Funko is also due in the coming days with the release of the Rose in Imperial Wear from last year’s The Last Jedi.

He-Man– We’ve gotten a restock on the recent wave of Super7’s ReAction figures and a couple of POPs including He-Man, Skeletor and Beast Man. Evil Lyn, Stratos and Orko should be in soon.

Back to the Future– In addition to the recently released Marty McFly, Doc Brown from the second film should also be arriving soon. Dressed as he appears in the film, Doc Brown also features the likeness of actor Christopher Lloyd as well as several accessories and interchangeable hands.

DC Multiverse– These are not officially confirmed to be arriving yet, but I have a strong feeling that the Clayface wave will be here within the next week or so. Several characters make their Mattel debut here including the Kate Kane Batwoman, Jessica Cruz, Martian Manhunter as seen on Supergirl, Two-Face and a Rebirth version of Superman. Collect all 6 and build a creepy looking Clayface figure.

Mad Max: Fury Road– The first collectibles from 2015’s film have started to arrive, so far Immortan Joe and Nux POPs have hit our shelves, but Furiosa, Max himself and more should be here real soon.

Black Panther– Anticipation for the film is getting stronger and while the Marvel Legends are here, we will also be receiving the other 6″ line which has less articulation and less intricate sculpting, but are still good toys. This series is also the only way to get a Shuri figure at the moment, so if you need her, keep an eye out for this set.

That’s pretty much it for me this week- see you next time!
