Thursday April 18th is Forbidden Planet NYC’s 38th Anniversary and we plan to celebrate in a big way!

To start things off we are unveiling a brand new line of merchandise designed by NYC’s own comic power couple Evan Dorkin (Milk & Cheese, Beasts of Burden) and Sarah Dyer (Action Girl Comics, Calla Cthulhu). We’ve got T-Shirts, Mugs, Stickers, Pins and more adorned with this fresh new art that will be sure to knock your socks off. Unfortunately we will not have socks with this design, so bring extras cause, you know… no socks no service! Well I guess unless you’re wearing sandals.

Who wears socks with sandals anyway?

To make this release extra special we will have Evan and Sarah here for a signing from 6 to 8PM. That’s right, meet the master minds behind our newest designs and get some stuff signed while you’re at it. As an extra special bonus if you come to the signing and buy anything from our new line of merchandise you will receive a limited edition 11×17 poster of our new art. A perfect item to get autographed! There will only be 100 of these available for the attendees of the signing so grab your merch and get in line early!

Now the icing on the cake! While you are here picking up some new FPNYC goodies take advantage of our store wide sale! In celebration of our 38th Anniversary all comic books, manga and graphic novels will be 38% off for the entire day. But that’s not all! Everything else in the store will be 15% off , too! That means toys, statues, Blu-rays, umbrellas, enamel pins- you name it! Unfortunately the only things that won’t be on sale are items already on sale and our new line of merchandise, but don’t worry when you see this stuff you’ll wanna pay full price!
