Comic Picks of the Week 2/27/19

February 27th, 2019 doesn't get any better than this!

When our cup runneth over with too many great titles in a single week, we make a breakdown of the Can’t Miss comics and graphic novels. Here are our picks for February 27, 2019.

We can just go ahead and call this the definitive Green Lantern run, right? What comes even close to matching the character redefining work that Johns, Pacheco, & co did to make Hal Jordan a character for our time. This is one of the very best runs in the history of DC comics and you’ll be a Yellow Lantern haunted forever by FOMO if you don’t grab this top notch collection.

Skyward Volume 2

One of the biggest surprises to come out of Image Comics, Skyward has been burning up the competition in sales (y’know, besides Saga) and paving a way for itself in an unbelievably crowded market. Whimsical and deeply imaginative, this is one of those books you can already spot as a future classic.
WWE #18
WWE: The Sami & Kevin Show
Two of the best heels in recent memory got their comics spotlight when Dennis “Hopeless” Hallum & Serg Acuña turned their attention to the best pals that changed their fortune in the WWE. Watch as the most white meat babyface in the game finally snaps and becomes a force to be reckoned with.Man-Eaters Volume 1

One of the most original comics properties in years. Menstruation turns women into cat monsters. The world lives in fear of this awesome development. Chelsea Cain & Kate Niemczyk reunite for a story of fear, danger, and growing up.

Sub-Mariner: The Depths

A re-release of one of the very best Namor stories in what I’m going to call The Year of Namor. It’s Jaws if the shark was Namor. If that don’t do it for yah, I don’t know how to help you.
