Horror fans, prepare to freak out! Forbidden Planet is beyond excited to announce an in-store meet and greet with none other than William Lustig! He is an exploitation titan with an insane list of genre-defining films like Maniac, Vigilante, and the Maniac Cop series on his directorial resume. Coupled with his work restoring and releasing under-appreciated cult classics through his company, Blue Underground, Lustig is and continues to be one of the most important and influential people in the world of genre cinema. Oh yeah, and he’s from the Bronx.

On Thursday, October 25th from 6 to 8 PM come down to Forbidden Planet NYC for an exclusive opportunity to meet William Lustig and pre-order the brand new Blu-ray release of the seminal New York City horror classic, Maniac. This limited edition Maniac Blu-ray is a new 4K restoration from the original 16mm camera negative and will not be available until December 11th, but if you come down to the event and pre-order a copy, you will receive the Blu-ray cover and a limited edition poster to get signed. Then, when the product is officially released, you can come back to Forbidden Planet to pick up your copy. But wait, that’s not all! Maniac will have a special reduced price of 29.99 at the event, what more could you ask for?

Immediately available at the signing will be DVD and Blu-ray copies of Lustig’s other films.

Forbidden Planet will have a limited amount of Blu-Ray/poster pre-orders available on our website, but we will not ship them until after the actual product is released on December 11th.
