Ninja-K Vol. 1: The Ninja Files – Graphic Spotlight

Finally! Now we know it's not Ninjak, It's Ninja-K

Ninja-K Vol. 1 Valiant Entertainment

This week for our Graphic Spotlight we have another exciting and critically acclaimed entry from Valiant Entertainment. Think Batman crossed with James Bond, sprinkle a little Immortal Iron Fist and remove all sense of a moral compass. What have you got? Ninjak! Or, as we now understand him to be known as: Ninja-K! Finally, a decades long question has been answered for comic book nerds all over the world. With this first explosive story from the seasoned and accomplished Christos Gage, artwork from the sensational Tomas Giorello, there’s little not to be freaking out about. What’s all the hype about?

MI-6, the most elite branch of Britain’s super secret intelligence service have been running a ruthless and ruthlessly effective top-secret division within their ranks. The Minders? Nope, wrong book. It’s known as THE NINJA PROGRAMME. For over a century MI-6 has molded this program into producing the country’s finest human weapons. Of course a program like this began as a defensive measure. To defend the crown and the country, this shadowy army of agents has produced a succession of deadly assassins and defenders. There was Ninja-A, the Queen’s silent weapon of World War I; Ninja-E, the Cold War’s savior that kept the world back from the bring of Armageddon; and most recently, Ninja-K. Colin King is a brash and fearless lethal instrument that has fought terror from every angle. Now though, someone is hunting and killing the members of THE NINJA PROGRAMME one by one and Colin King is next!

If for some reason you’ve been holding back on Valiant, here’s a great jumping on point. If you’re taxed on the whole Marvel and DC versions of superheroes, here’s a great place to turn to. If you’re itching for a spy epic to keep you enthralled this is relief you’ve been waiting for. Get it? Get it when Ninja-K Vol. 1: The Ninja Files takes over the shelves this Wednesday.

Collecting NINJA-K #1-5.
